Azzurri for now
[sleepy]
The verdict of the cup, as we all know, belongs to Italy aka the Azzurri. They don't really deserve it for beating des blues though, more like for beating Germany on their previous match. Frankly, the Italy - France match was disappointing as this was the first final match to end with penalty. The enery level dropped after the second half to the end. What on earth happened to Zidane? Henry should not have been subtituted. Trezequet (pardon the wrong spelling if there is any) was unlucky. These plus the other little things, have made the team one big sad case.
I am impressed by Cannavaro though. He kicked ass. But there is rumour of this being his last FIFA game. So is the same for the number 7 dude, Del Piero, who was seen lesser and lesser on field. Still the big mystery dawn on me, how is a man possibly be as goodlooking as any of the both of them? This is therefore a proof that God is an artist. I suspect He loves sculpture.
Yesterday on the news, there was this article saying the difference of women and men in their definition of loving football. The women may watch it because they love watching it. The men don't just do it for the love of watching, but for them males, watching may equivalent to actually taking part in the match. I've got something to add to the women's definition that the author did not truely mention. Women don't just watch for the love of football, but also for the love of watching the goodlooking players. duh.
I've tried not to be the typical ladies who just go for the looks. But I gotta admit, I love the game and the players. Hohoho...
Well, I still feel the grief of fellow brazilians. They are a strong team, it is a shame. In that match, however, france played better. Somehow they had the game for themselves, and brazil just were not kicking and fighting for the ball. On top of this disaster, on the next FIFA World Cup, there's a probability of us not seeing a handfull of them playing anymore. I guess Brazil will be struggling again for adjustments.
So here now the World Cup is finally over. If I can protest about one thing, it gotta be the topsy turvy timing over here in SG. I am living with dark circles around the eyes for the mo. It is taxing alright, but for the love of it, never say die. ;)
